Rohingya Genocide | Haider Khan

In 2016, the Myanmar government undertook a horrific crackdown on the Muslim Rohingya minority living in the Rakhine state of west Myanmar. Trapped in dehumanizing apartheid, Rohingya’s ”people from nowhere” are also known as the Boat People. Denied citizenship by the Myanmar government, they are forced to flee from their own country to neighboring countries, where they are equally rejected, lacking proper documents such as passports and visas. Based on events that took place during one of the greatest genocides of modern times, this is the story of a community torn apart by apartheid, discrimination and terror.
