In a Different Light and Color

An event dedicated to the gay community, turning the spotlight on those who led the gay revolution, and elderly members of the community. Filmmakers Hadas Ayalon and Revital Gal will discuss and screen excerpts from their films “We Were the Others” and “Golden Boys”. Dr. Sigal Goldin, head of the Israeli Institute for Gender and LGBTQ Studies, will discuss current challenges of the LGBTQ community.
The event will be held in conjunction with the exhibition Antique Pink by Dutch artist Ernst Coppejans, included in the International Photography Festival.
The evening will start with the “Tolerance Through the Lens” photography competition winners announcement.
The event, exhibition and competition are supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Israel.
