Gender-related questions and the boundaries of orientalism in visual memory are foregrounded in this project by Michael Liani, who photographs couples, families and individuals part of the Israeli and Palestinian LGBTQ+ community across Israel. His subjects are a sincere representation of a diverse manifestation of love and intimacy, photographed in their own homes. Captured on film, the images emphasize the authenticity of the fleeting moment and its fundamental role in Liani’s visual archive, serving as a loving call to resist inequality.
