“From one terrain to another, the heart wants what it wants,” encompasses Justinas Vilutis approach toward his five-year-long visual essay, Becoming a Dog. According to him, the images that comprise this body of work are linked by an association, a figure, a sense. Reminiscent of a rhizome, the work’s narrative unfolds with no end, and in no particular direction, ceaselessly establishing chains of events, of becoming.
