The ballet world always fascinated me, going way back to when I had a small jewelry box for plastic rings, with a ballerina twirling within it. In the ballet world, there is a lot of beauty, integrity and aspiration to “take flight”. In my works, I try to reflect the beauty in the world of ballet, but also much beyond this — because being a successful ballerina requires endless hours of training, and much pain and sacrifice.
