Over 620 million people across sub-Saharan Africa do not have access to energy. Without energy, there is no light in schools or in medical centers, and, crucially, no access to clean water.
Innovation: Africa is a non-profit organization with a mission to bring Israeli solar, water and agricultural technologies that provide light and access to clean water to rural African villages.
Since its establishment in 2008, Innovation: Africa has completed over 550 solar and water projects, impacting over 3 million people across 10 African countries: Uganda, Malawi, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Eswatini, Cameroon, Ethiopia, DRC and Senegal.
The photos included in this exhibition showcase the reality of living without clean water and the impact that Innovation: Africa’s work has had in its countries of operation.
