״In the spring of 2007, I photographed the ancient Hutongs in Beijing as thousands of residents were evacuated from their homes to renovate the city in preparation for the 2008 Olympics. I used the new buildings that were built In Beijing as a stage, the posters that covered them as a backdrop, and the passers-by, as actors walking the streets of their city amidst the changing landscape.״
