13.11.20 Hours 17:00 - 18:00
This lecture will look at the project ‘Home Truths’ by Susan Bright. An exhibition, a book and the topic of her PhD.
‘Home Truths’ was commissioned as an exhibition for The Photographers’ Gallery and The Foundling Museum in London in collaboration with The Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago.
This lecture will take an expanded view of the possibilities of curating and examine how the exhibition functioned in relation to the conditions (institutional, economic, aesthetic and theoretical) in which it existed. It will also consider why it still seems to reverberate many years from its first showing in 2013.
